You can message the Prize Court project at the National Archives, they'll reply in a week/10 days quite comprehensively.

Also have a look at the Caird Library, I'm not sure what they've got

Re: Byng's 1755 Channel force
Hi, thank you for that list which is good to have! From what I have read Hawke's squadron came in sick, whilst Byng was trying to get his squadron for sea, which implies not a great deal of crossover of ships. In the chapter Hot Water, page 175 of The Execution of Admiral John Byng as a Microhistory...

Byng's 1755 Channel force
Hi Does anyone have the full list of ships Byng commanded in the Channel campaign Oct-Dec 1755? I've mention of the ships with the most damage when they came in in late November And I've seen a note of supposedly 17 line ships But I have never seen, nor can I find, a list of what all the ships were ...

Thank you, I will see if I can find the photographs I took of the page.
I just remember looking at it and thinking "Huh, where is the engagement?"

Re: Marlborough?
My bad. I assumed because of the way Hervey talked about it and because it was in italics it was a ship, and the only ship of the name I could find was a privateer
BUT
It is a fort or advanced bastion of St Phillip's Castle at Mahon
Sorry!

Marlborough?
Augustus Hervey's Journal makes some reference to a ship called Marlborough at Port Mahon, 1756. Is this a privateer, or a decommissioned warship, or something else?
