The National Archives in Kew might have (probably but not certainly has) the captain's journal and the master's log for His Britannic Majesty's ship Hampshire. The Admiralty did not collect logs or journals from privateers, so they would not be in the ADM 51 and 52 series with the warship logs and journals. They would be in some other collection, if any still exist at all. (Captains and lieutenants in His Majesty's navy were required by regulations to keep journals; privateer captains were not. Privateers would have needed some kind of log for dead reckoning, but not in the form required for warships.)
