I wanted to take the opportunity to use the new forum to announce the publication of the first of what I hope will be a number of naval titles in the "From Reason to Revolution 1721-1815" book series that I edit for Helion & Co.
Far Distant Ships, by Quintin Barry, is an operational study of the Royal Navy's Channel Fleet and its blockade of Brest in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, and is now available to order: http://www.helion.co.uk/new-and-forthcoming-titles/far-distant-ships-the-blockade-of-brest-1793-1815.html
Other naval titles already in the pipeline for the series over the next two or three years include a study of Army-Navy cooperation during the American Revolutionary Wars, a biographical dictionary of Royal Navy officers during the Seven Years War, and an operational study of the naval elements of the War of Jenkins Ear/War of the Austrian Succession. I would be very happy to hear of other proposals for prospective titles if any of the contributors to this site and forum have aspirations to see their work in print - I can be contacted at [email protected]
