Baroda fleet.

In 1813, the Baroda government acquired the 'parganah' of of Kodinar in which the port of Velan was situated
Here they established a small fleet of four frigates with 12 pounder guns on each for the protection of the trade between Bombay and Sind.
The four armed vessels were 'Anandprasad', 'Sarsuba', 'Anama Vart' and 'Anne Maria'. Anne Maria -Anne Maria - the ship purchased from the Shah of Iran bore the name of 'Shah Kai Khusru' before it became part of the Baroda fleet.
