8th Grandfathers Ship - Seeking Information

Post by ChadFranklin97 »

I was hoping to post a photo with the original text, but the information is as follows.

David Franklin was a sea captain, commanding the sloop, GEORGE Muster roll of the Sloop on November 15th 1725 as follows:

Captain David Franklin, master and pilot
Joel Smith, mate
Anthony Baker, seaman
Peter Perry, seaman
John Gravel, seaman
John McFerdis, seaman

The sloop about 60tons with 4-guns
Massachusetts Archive 91: 199-200

Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated

May want to try the Peabody Museum in Salem. I looked for some MA customs records, but nothing going back that far.
