There were hundreds of transports hired during the 1794-1816 period
Nearly all of them received numbers, and in many cases the vessels vwere called only by numbers.

I am looking for any lists of hired transports of that period.

The Ancient Port of Whitby and its Shipping includes a catalogue of Whitby built ships and quite a few of them are listed as being transports at some point, particularly in 1814.

Also browsing Registers of Shipping, there are many ships with voyage called Transport, etc

The Australian Joint Copying Project (AJCP) has microfilmed a vast number of TNA documents including a number from ADM 108 concerning the Transport Department and they are all available online.
