Some info on 17th C Danish ships

Post by Demi-Saker »

A Danish acquaintance of mine recently scanned some of the ship data tables from the books "Christian IV's flåde" and "Niels Juels Flåde", as well as providing a few translation notes. The lists include tonnages, numbers of crew, numbers of cannons and artillery "effectiveness" (not sure what that is measured in though) - would these be of use to threedecks?

Also can I post links to them here, or is it something I should email you instead?

Hi

All info is useful and in any format you prefer, although scans of the original would be my preference.

OK, it was me, probably!

Great, here's the link - they are 2 scans of the originals, around 12 pages each. Its in Danish, but some of the important details in the tables have been translated via comments in the PDF - just click on the little yellow boxes.
