Three Decks Wargaming Meetup?

Knowing that forum communities are frequently spread all over the globe, I still hold out the hope that a few might be close enough for either a local game or meetup at a game convention sometime.
I hail from Oakland, CA in the US, but also sometimes make it to the big US Cons, such as Origins or GenCon.
Anyone else here from my neck of the woods?
